The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) continued to receive congratulatory messages from foreign political parties and organisations on the occasion of organising its 10th National Congress.

FUNCINPEC Party of Cambodia said: "The Secretariat of the FUNCINPEC Party has the pleasure to extend its warmest congratulations to the CPV on the occasion of the 10th National Congress. We wish the congress to successfully achieve its objectives.

"We believe that the relationship and co-operation between our parties will improve, and contribute to the prosperity of our parties and peoples."

The General Secretary of the South African Communist Party (SACP) said: "I would like to assure the CPV of our continued solidarity, support and fraternal relations. The SACP also wishes to continue deepening our fraternal linkages to share common perspectives and ideas on the socialist construction project, including strengthening our existing party to party relations."

The CPV Central Committee also received congratulatory messages from the People's Action Party of Singapore, the Democratic Party of Japan, the Social Democratic Party of Japan, the National Liberal Party of Romania, The Democratic Constitutional Rally (Tunisia), the Popular Unity of the Dominican Republic, the Party of Democratic Revolution of Mexico, the Democratic Revolutionary Party of Panama, and the Foreign Ministry of the State of Palestine.

*** Lao media agencies continued to report on the results of the 10th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).
The National TV Station of Laos updated information about the progress of the 10th Party Congress everyday, and covered the Vietnamese people’s expectations of the Congress.

Pasason, Pathet Laos, the National News Agency (KPL) and Vientiane May also reported on the results of the Party Congress.
Vientiane May newspaper quoted remarks made by Ha Thi Khiet, Chairman of the Vietnam Women’s Union, at the Party Congress about the role of Vietnamese women in society, where women hold 27 percent of the National Assembly’s seats.
