Eight teams from Vietnam and abroad are competing at the International Football Championships-Number One Cup in the southern province of Binh Phuoc from October 11-20.
The four domestic teams include Binh Phuoc, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, U19 TDC Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City, while the international teams are Karatie and the Senate team from Cambodia, Champasak from Laos, and Sisaket from Thailand.
In the opening match hosts Binh Phuoc easily thrashed Champasak 3-0.
Phan Minh Hoang, Director of Binh Phuoc Television and Chairman of the event’s organizing board, said the tournament will help strengthen ties between the provinces of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand.
