Chelsea will consider building a football academy to train school children in Vietnam, said the English football club’s Managing Director, Adrian New.

He made the statement at a meeting with Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Le Hung Dung, in Hanoi on October 18.

He also accepted the Vice Chairman’s invitation for Chelsea to play friendlies in Vietnam in 2013.

Dung said VFF is planning to advertise the Vietnam Export-Import Bank’s (Eximbank) brand name in the club stadium starting from 2011-2012.
