Hanoi to host 2013 VFW Fall Winter
(VOV) -The 2013 Vietnam Fashion Week Fall Winter showcasing unique collections of 18 domestic and foreign designers will be held at Hanoi Deawoo Hotel from April 18-20.
On display are 500 new designs by Chaming Lys using traditional and modern methods.
Van Khoa’s collection shows a striking contrast between lissomness and roughness, while Ngoc Han’s collection, inspired by Yves Saint Laurent’s Le Smoking since 1960s, is focused on women with slicked-back hair in a mannish three-piece suit.
Han says, she will shift from her last fall winter designs of naughty tomboy girls to grown-up ladies in vests and capes.
Vietnam’s top contemporary designer Minh Hanh plans to have her new collection streaked with elegantly hand-weaving materials of dark colours.
The highlight of the fashion week will be France’s Francoise Hoffman’s vivid painting-like overcoats of no sewing silk and fleece which are rubbed with soap and water.
