“Time Mark” brings Italian fashion to Vietnam
(VOV) - An Italian fashion show themed “Time Mark” will be held in Hanoi on November 4.
The event is being organised by the Italian Embassy as part of initiatives for the Italy-Vietnam 2012 programme, and in the lead up to the commemoration of 40 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Italy in 2013.
The show will introduce the “Mona Lisa” collection by designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam and “Timeline” by designer Nguyen Cao Bang Tam.
The first collection is an emotional story inspired by the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, famous all over the world.
The inspiration for the second collection comes from an emotional exploration of the correspondence between official representatives of Italy’s Leaning Tower of Pisa and Vietnam’s One-Pillar Pagoda in Hanoi, as well as the architectural experiences of both countries.
Lorenzo Angeloni, Italian Ambassador to Vietnam, said the event is a chance for designers and artists of the two countries to meet and exchange experience and reinforce mutual understanding.
Besides the fashion show, an Italian chef will introduce some traditional Italian food to Vietnamese attendees, he noted.
