Vietnam – important partner of Canada
Vietnam and Canada officially established diplomatic ties on August 21, 1973. Over the past 45 years, their friendship and all-around cooperation have thrived. During the Vietnam visit by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in November 2017, the two countries signed a joint statement on establishing comprehensive partnership.
