NA debates mobilization of resources for economic restructuring
VOV.VN -National Assembly deputies discussed a plan on economic restructuring until 2020 towards sustainability and a farming focus at the ongoing second session of the 14th National Assembly in Hanoi on November 3.
Deputy Chu Le Chau from Lai Chau province suggested measures to ensure efficient economic restructuring.
“We need to improve our forecast capacity to ensure a rapid response to world developments and identify key industries with comparative advantages. The government should prioritize resources for key tasks for the harmonious combination of economic, social and environmental issues," Chau said.
Deputy Pham Thi Loan from Hanoi commented on agricultural restructuring on high value products.
“Besides investment in infrastructure, institutional reform and land accumulation, human resources should be boosted in high tech areas including bio technology to create breakthrough changes in rural development and farming," she said.
Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung said the economic restructuring plan requires rapid settlement of bad debts. Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh asked for a complete review of projects to avoid state capital leakage.
