Vietnam enjoys strong export growth in UAE
Vietnam’s exports to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) hit US$3.463 billion in the first seven months of this year, up 23.37% year on year, reported Nhan dan (People) daily.
Two-way trade between the two sides also reached US$3.687 billion, a rise of 20.06% over the same period last year.
Vietnam’s hard currency earners in the market included mobile phones (US$2.676 billion), electronics and spare parts (US$282.86 million), peppercorn (US$86.69 million), garment (US$75.29 million), footwear (US$62.29 million), and seafood (US$36.29 million).
The UAE, the largest entrepôt in the Middle East, has become the leading market for Vietnam’s export and is acknowledged as one of the top ten trade partners of the Southeast Asian nation.
