This achievement places Vietnam in ninth position on the list of the top ten medal-winning countries at the competition.

As of October 15, the US team was temporarily in the lead with three gold medals, followed by the teams from China, Japan, Russia and Hungary.

This year's championship has attracted athletes from 86 countries and territories around the world. The tournament is the first qualifying round for the 2012 London Olympics and will last until October 17.
