The information was released at a press briefing held at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation on September 28.

The Vietnam Futsal squad, coached by Sergio Gargelli, gathered at the Thanh Long Sports Centre in HCM City on August 22 to prepare for the tournament.

Tran Anh Tu, head of the Vietnam futsal delegation, said that Qatar, Uzbekistan and China are stronger rivals, and that their invitation to the tournament is designed to provide a chance for the Vietnamese team to hone their skills in preparation for the upcoming SEA Games.

The four teams will compete in a round robin format, according to Nguyen Trong Thao, Head of the Organizing Committee.

The Vietnamese team will arrive in Hanoi on October 1 and will play China in their first match on October 7.
