Young marksmen from host team Hanoi put on excellent performances to top the medal tally of the National Junior Shooting Championships, which wrapped up on August 30.
Pham Anh Dat from Hanoi came first in the men’s 25 meter pistol singles with 548 points.
The hosts also grabbed a gold medal in the same event for teams, scoring a total of 1,529 points.
Ho Chi Minh City’s Nguyen The Thien bagged a gold medal in the women’s 10 meter rifle singles with 389 points and her teammates also dominated the team event with 1,143 points.
After 10 days of competition, the Hanoi won 15 gold, 4 silver and 9 bronze medals, followed by Ho Chi Minh City (7 golds, 5 silvers and 6 bronzes) and Hai Duong (4 golds, 1 silvers and 2 bronzes).
