The event drew the participation of players from Consulate Generals of Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, as well as the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs and Committee on Overseas Vietnamese.

The first place in the women’s singles event went to the Indonesian Consulate General, while the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs topped both the men’s and mixed doubles’ events.

According to Indonesian Consular General, Bambang Tarsanto, the event promoted Indonesia's important role as the current ASEAN chairman, adding that the ASEAN Community is always central in the country’s foreign policies.

He also said he hopes that the tournament will help strengthen ties between ASEAN members.
