The projects include the US$200 million Hanwha Aero Engines plant by Hanwha Techwin Co., Ltd from the Republic of Korea. The firm is planning to increase its investment to US$260 million by 2021.
Meanwhile, procedures are underway for two projects developed by Japanese NIDEC Group at US$400 million so they can become operational in the first quarter of 2019.
Currently, the park is home to 83 projects with total registered capital of US$3.4 billion.
Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park, approved in 1998, is the first and the largest high-tech facility in Vietnam, spanning 1,586 hectares. It is expected to become a model science space and a national hub for technology development and application.
Core hi-tech fields in the park include information and technology, communication, electronics, biology, new materials and energies.
Last year, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc inked a decree stipulating some preferential mechanisms and policies for Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park to extricate difficulties and attract investment.
