An agreement to this effect worth US$260,000 was signed on September 25 between Bao Viet and the APEC funding mobilisation board.

Bao Viet is also prepared to offer free insurance in respect of the vehicles which will serve the APEC meeting.

The maximum insurance payment will be US$100,000 for a head of state, US$50,000 for a minister and US$20,000 for each of the other 8,000 participants.

To date, Bao Viet has cooperated with the International SOS to provide emergency transportation in and out of Vietnam in order to ensure the safety of the leaders and senior officials.

The corporation has also worked with auto makers and rescue centres to provide services in the event of any break-downs on accidents.
