The UK’s leading football team, Manchester United, has signed a three-year partnership with Beeline, Vietnam’s mobile telecoms company.

The deal will give the club’s estimated 16 million fans in Vietnam a chance to see all the goals scored by the Reds, as well as exclusive interviews, news and behind-the-scenes access – bringing them closer to Old Trafford than ever before.

Announcing the deal, United's Commercial Director Richard Arnold said: "We are very excited about this partnership. Beeline is the right partner for us in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia – an ambitious young organisation which has already made a big impact locally in a short space of time.”

Coach Alex Ferguson said that Manchester United has always been at the forefront of the game off the pitch as well as on it and this partnership is another example of that.

"Everyone knows about the passion of our fans in that part of the world and this deal makes it a lot easier for us to keep in touch with them," he added.

Michael Cluzel, Head of Indochina Cluster of VimpelCom Ltd. and CEO of Beeline Vietnam (GTEL – Mobile), said: "Football is the number one sport in Vietnam, and Manchester United has always been one of the most widely supported football teams in the world and Vietnam is no exception.”

Earlier, Manchester United signed a contract worth £40 million Vietnam’s logistics company, DHL, as their first training kit sponsor.
