India opens hearing on AD investigation into Vietnamese yarn

VOV.VN - India will hold an oral hearing on October 7 on anti-dumping investigation into imports of Elastomeric Filament Yarn (Spandex) from Vietnam and some other countries.

The Competition Management Authority under the Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade has been informed by the Vietnam Trade Office in India that the Directorate General of Anti-Dumping and Allied Duties (DGAD) will hold the oral hearing.

The hearing aims to offer opportunities for relevant sides, including producers and exporters of the yarn under investigation, to present their opinions on the anti-dumping investigations.

Vietnamese businesses can register to attend the hearing to protect their legitimate rights.

Earlier on January 27, 2016, the DGAD initiated the AD investigations on imports of spandex yarn from China, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.

The plaintiff - Indorama Industries Ltd – accused that spandex yarn imported from the above countries dumped prices on the Indian market, which caused significant damage to the domestic industry.
