The field will compete in five events including men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.

The host country’s team consists of 25 male and 17 female players.

Top Vietnamese player Nguyen Tien Minh is seeded No.1 in the men’s singles event and will meet world No.203 Shesar Hiren Rhustavio from Indonesia in the first round.

Minh’s supporters will have high hopes for him reaching the final, where he could face his Japanese rival Sho Sasaki, who defeated him in the final of the US Open Grand Prix Gold.
