•  National table tennis tourney opens

Nguyen Ngoc Thanh Phong from the HCM City Public Security team and Vu Thi Ha from Datraco Danang were the respective winners of the men's and women's singles events.

In the men's doubles, Le Tien Dat and Hoang Quoc Viet from Datraco-Danang won the championship title while Vu Thi Ha and Pham Ngan Giang from the same team took the women's doubles title.

Datraco Danang ranked first in both the men and women’s teams.

Nguyen Anh Duc, a 12-year-old from Hai Duong, was honoured as the youngest athlete in the tournament.

This year's competition attracted 200 athletes from 16 clubs across the country. The five-day tournament was jointly held by the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation and the Danang People’s Committee.
