Also in the rifle event, Nguyen Van Quan from Hai Duong took the honours in the men’s singles with 588 points, followed by Nguyen Thanh Nam from the Military team and Nguyen Xuan Trong from Hanoi.

In the men’s 10 metre air rifle event, Nguyen Trong Tien from the Military team won the gold medal scoring 527 points. Hanoian marksmen Nguyen Cong Hau and Nguyen Van Son came second and third with 524 points and 482 points, respectively.

The Hanoi team also grabbed another gold medal at the event with a total point tally of 1485.

On the third day of the competition, the sharpshooters will compete in the men’s 50 metre pistol and women’s 25 metre sport pistol 30+30 events.
