Deputy PM reaffirms Vietnam – Japan close partnership
VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha highlighted the positive development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan in recent times, during his reception for Japanese Ambassador Ito Naoki in Hanoi on February 25.

Ha shared his fond memories of studying and working with Japanese ministries, agencies, and localities, and expressed his hope that, with acquired experience at the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador would continue to contribute to strengthening the growing relationship between Vietnam and Japan, particularly in areas of cooperation within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The Deputy PM also requested that the Japanese government provide continued support for Vietnam in achieving its goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and responding to climate change through projects under the Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC) initiative and the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) of the Japanese government.
Naoki for his part highly appreciated Vietnam’s recent development achievements, and noted that Japanese businesses operating in Vietnam have been receiving favourable conditions for their production and business activities.
He proposed solutions to address challenges faced by certain Japanese enterprises in Vietnam, particularly in the transportation sector. He also emphasized the need to promote new projects related to greenhouse gas emission reduction, green transition, and energy transformation.
Ha assured his guest that the government would actively direct relevant ministries, agencies, localities, and partners to coordinate and address difficulties faced by Japanese businesses as soon as possible.
The government of Vietnam remains committed to encouraging and facilitating projects related to the development of green transportation systems and models, as well as the establishment and operation of a carbon credit market, said the Deputy PM.
