The organisation released its report on May 4 which stated that Vietnam is not objective and transparent about its human rights situation.
In response to reporters’ questions in Hanoi on May 5, Mr Dung said that the organisation has repeatedly released inaccurate information about the situation in the country.
“The Vietnamese State views the people as the objective and driving force behind any socio-economic development policy and our consistent policy is to protect and promote human rights,” said Mr Dung.
He stressed that the Vietnamese Constitution guarantees that all citizens enjoy equal political, economic, cultural and social rights as well as the rights to complaints and petitions, the rights to employment, education and healthcare regardless of gender, race and religion. The Vietnamese State has made every effort to build and improve its institutions to guarantee human rights in practice.
Over the past years, Vietnam has made major progress in ensuring human rights, which is an important factor behind the success of the reform in Vietnam, Mr Dung concluded.Bình luận của bạn đang được xem xét
