The event was attended by the Vietnamese ambassador to UNESCO, Van Nghia Dung, former State Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh and representatives of the Vietnamese embassy and the Vietnamese community in France.

Delegates recalled President Ho’s revolutionary life and his warm feelings towards Vietnamese nationals abroad, including those residing n France.

They were treated to a special performance in praise of President Ho and the country of Vietnam.

*** The Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba and the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the People (ICAP) on May 17 presented computers to a high school named after President Ho Chi Minh in Jaruco district, Havana province.

At the event, ambassador Vu Chi Cong reviewed President Ho Chi Minh’s life and revolutionary cause and praised the pure and faithful solidarity and friendship between Vietnamese and Cuban people.  

Headmaster Antonio Vera highlighted the friendship between the two countries’ people, which was founded and fostered by Cuban President Jose Marti and Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh. He affirmed that this friendship and solidarity will be maintained and developed by the young generations of Cuba and Vietnam.

The same day, representatives from the Vietnam Youth Union and the ICAP presented gifts to needy children being cared for at a centre in the capital Havana’s Lasa district.

*** The Vietnamese embassy in Algeria held a talk on President Ho’s moral examples for its staff and Vietnamese nationals in the country on May 17. Ambassador Do Trong Cuong highlighted the late President’s revolutionary cause and his thoughts on diplomacy.

Collectives and individuals of representative Vietnamese missions in Algeria sang songs, expressing their profound gratitude towards President Ho.
