Vice President Xuan attends inauguration ceremony of Indonesian President
VOV.VN - State Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan is making a trip to Indonesia from September 19 to September 21 to attend the inauguration ceremony of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

A solemn state-level welcome ceremony was held for the Vietnamese Vice President on October 19 at Soekarno Hatta airport in Jakarta.
On October 20, VP Xuan joined representatives from nearly 30 countries at the inauguration ceremony of Prabowo Subianto, the eighth president of Indonesia, at the Nusantara Building in the Senayan legislative complex in Jakarta.
As part of his inaugural address, President Subianto affirmed his adherence to traditional principles and pledged to inherit many of the policies set out by the previous administration in terms of external affairs.
As part of this occasion, VP Xuan held bilateral meetings with attending leaders from Brunei, the Philippines, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Serbia, Laos, China, Russia, Thailand, and New Zealand.
During these meetings, foreign leaders greatly valued relations with the Vietnamese side, showing a keen desire to strengthen co-operation with the nation in all fields, especially economics, trade, investment, tourism, and people-to-people exchange.
Vice President of China Han Zheng stated that he hopes both sides will beef up co-operation, effectively implementing high-level joint agreements and continuing to make comprehensive and substantive progress in the bilateral relationship moving forward.

Meanwhile, leaders of Thailand, Singapore, and New Zealand all suggested that they, along with Vietnam, work to boost co-ordination in effectively implementing bilateral collaboration mechanisms and proposed measures to further deepen the current strategic partnerships with the Vietnamese side.
On October 21, Indonesian President Subianto is scheduled to host a reception for the Vietnamese VP.
Earlier on October 19, VP Xuan held a meeting with representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Jakarta, the ASEAN Secretariat, the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to ASEAN, and Vietnamese community and businesses based in Indonesia.
The VP highlighted the Party and State’s policy of great national solidarity, affirming that the Vietnamese community abroad, including Indonesia, is an inseparable part, an important resource, and a factor in the process of building and developing the country.
She therefore highlighted the significant role of the younger generation of Vietnamese people living abroad in the future development of the country, especially with Vietnam facing a new historical starting point, a new era – a rising era of the nation.
