A group of eight lecturers from RMIT University in Melbourne arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on June 24 to hold a five-day seminar for educators at HCM City Campus of RMIT Vietnam.

The seminar, which will focus on the challenges of teaching in an international context, is part of a training programme for all new academic staff at the University’s campuses. Participants at the workshop will receive a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching and Learning.

“RMIT intends to send a strong symbolic signal to new and prospective staff, students and their families, and the broader academic world, that RMIT is a global university that values advanced teaching skills,” said Professor Annette Gough, head of RMIT’s School of Education.
