9th Meet Vietnam: window into the world

(VOV) - Over 200 leading international scientists from 30 countries, including five Nobel laureates, are attending an international physical science conference (Meet Vietnam) in central Binh Dinh province.

During the event from July 28 to August 17, there are a wide range of activities, including four international scientific conferences – universe in Planck epoch, the theory of relativity and the force of gravity, Nano physics from basic to application, and conference – doors to universe.

In addition, an International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (CISE) will be inaugurated and professional courses on physics and astronomy will be held.

Since the first Meet Vietnam held in 1993, it has become an important scientific event for the international physic community, providing a good chance for domestic scientists to broaden their knowledge and access latest scientific theories and projects in the world.

Doctor Truong Dinh Hien said from now, the central region can be proud to be a centre for leading scientists coming from around the world to discuss and make important decisions on scientific development.

The event was organised by the Meeting Vietnam Organisation (MVO) and Physics Professor Tran Thanh Van who provides a chance for Vietnamese scientists to approach international science and for Nobel laureates to visit Vietnam.

International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education 

The centre will be built on an area of 20ha in Ghenh Rang Ward, Quy Nhon City to become one of the three or four largest centres in the world.
