Foreign tourist goes missing in Lam Dong

A foreign tourist from Belarus slipped from a cliff into a freezing lake at the Pongour Fall tourism site in Da Lat, the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on February 28.

The tourist is now considered missing. According to Vi Van Hanh from the management board of the site, the tourist was taken by a local group of men on motorbike to the tourism site after they drank alcohol together.

He went into the site without buying a ticket as requested, Hanh said. The case is under investigation.

Located in Duc Trong district, 50 km south of Da Lat, the 40m-high Pongour is considered the wildest and most mighty waterfall in the southern Central Highlands.
