Foreigners keen on Vietnam calligraphy arts

VOV.VN - As traditional, Vietnamese people often ask calligraphers for nice words at the approach of Tet holidays with the hope of having good luck in the new year.

Foreigners stand in a long line at Van Mieu – QuocTuGiam (Temple of Literature) feeling very happy to get nice calligraphic words.

36-year old Tony from Spain is interested in Vietnam traditional custom to give nice calligraphic words in the New Year. Tony asks for the word ‘Tai’ (Talent) while his twined brother wants to have the word ‘Nhan’ (seed).

Natasha from Russia says this is her fourth year in Vietnam. She visits Van Mieu to ask calligraphers for nice words.
