The move is considered a breakthrough in the city’s administrative reform towards a simplified and transparent administration, which will help improve Hanoi ’s business environment as well as the responsibility of public servants. It has been welcomed by both locals and enterprises.
Hanoi has set a target of implementing the e-government system in all 584 communes and wards across the city by the end of 2016, while providing 80% of public services online by 2020.
