Japan has HCM City’s best interest at heart
VOV.VN - The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Chief Representative has reiterated his commitment to support the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee successfully carry out their development programs.
Speaking at a luncheon on March 15, Chief Representative Mutsuya Mori outlined a panoply of projects that had been actualized in the city with JICA support including laboratories, teaching and administrative spaces.
He identified training and capacity building as a critical area of partnership that has potential to drive the relationship forward.

Then there is the Metro project, he said, for which Japan would provide technical support to help the city to improve the management of Metro line 1 after it is placed into operation.
He said the JICA has also provided experts to consult on a Metro 3a project connecting Ben Thanh and Tan Kien Station.
At the luncheon, Chairman Phong of the People’s Committee thanked the Chief Representative for the assistance of JICA, noting the impact of the JICA-funded projects to the city’s development has been monumental.
