The central province has given local fishermen access to soft loans for fishing boat building and upgrading. It has offered approximately VND182 billion in soft loans to help build and renovate 42 fishing vessels over the past two years. It plans to bring the number up to 45 to meet the Government’s target by the end of the year.
Since the beginning of this year, Thua Thien-Hue has harvested more than 35,450 tonnes of seafood, up 16.79 percent over the same period last year.
