Sea turtle lays eggs on beach in central Vietnam
VOV.VN -A sea turtle on June 2 laid 102 eggs at a beach in Nhon Hai commune of Quy Nhon city, central Vietnam, under close supervision by a group of local volunteers.

According to Nguyen Ton Xuan Sang, a marine conservationist in the commune, local residents discovered a turtle crawling onto the beach and laid eggs in the evening.
They quickly reported the case to a team of marine conservationists in the commune in order to protect the eggs.
Sang noted that the turtle is estimated to weigh some 90 kilograms and is 0.94 metres long.
As its nest was at risk of being swept away by waves, Sang and other marine conservationists subsequently relocated the nest to a safer place.
On May 21, locals and marine conservationists also watched the turtle lay 103 eggs on the same beach.
