Vietnamese Student Day to get underway in RoK
VOV.VN - Approximately 1,000 Vietnamese students across the Republic of Korea (RoK) will come together for the 16th Vietnamese Student Day which will be held on October 29 at Soongsil University in Seoul.
Nguyen Tran Hung, president of Vietnamese Students’ Association in the RoK (VSAK), said the event aims to create a venue for Vietnamese and Korean students to boost solidarity and popularise the image of the Vietnamese land, people, and culture to international friends.
The VSAK’s branches from across the country will bring a total of 35 art performances to the event.
A wide range of activities will take place during the course of the function, including a talent contest, folk games, and a ceremony aimed at honouring students who have made great contributions to activities organised by the VSAK and the Embassy of Vietnam in the RoK.
Furthermore, the organising board will grant a total of 10 scholarships from Hanshin Construction Company, which is funding the occasion, to outstanding Vietnamese individuals.
The Vietnamese Student Day has been held annually by the VSAK since 2005 and acts as a bridge helping develop Vietnam-RoK relations. The event was disrupted for three years due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
