VOV marks 72nd founding anniversary

VOV.VN - Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV) held a meeting on the evening of September 6 to mark its 72nd founding anniversary and present ‘VOV’ awards to outstanding journalists.

Presence at the meeting was Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the Party Central Committee's Publicity and Education Commission Vo Van Thuong, leaders of ministries and departments and VOV.

VOV President Nguyen The Ky recalls the development and the national broadcaster’s major achievements over the past 72 years.

VOV President Ky says VOV has been a pioneer in innovation and application of a new mindset in journalism across radio, TV, electronic and printed newspapers.


Politburo member Vo Van Thuong presents gifts and flowers to families of two VOV musicians Thuan Yen and Hoang Ha who have been honoured with Ho Chi Minh Awards for Literature and the Arts.

Mr Thuong extends congratulation to four musicians, Cao Viet Bach, The Song, Le Viet Hoa and Vu Thiet and poet Truc Thong who have been conferred Ho Chi Minh Awards for Literature and the Arts.

VOV President Nguyen The Ky grants two A prizes to winners.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Hoang Vinh Bao presents seven B prizes to awardees.

VOV Vice President Nguyen Xuan Huy hands over eight C prizes to winners.

VOV Vice President Tran Minh Hung gives awards to announcer Hai Yen, musician Tran Nhat Duong, singer Hoang Tung and a new music and song troupe.

VOV Vice President Vu Hai offers flowers to VOV artists.
