Binh Duong readies for major international cycling race

VOV.VN - Final preparations for a women’s international level cycling race set to get underway tomorrow (Mar. 3) have begun in the province of Binh Duong.

The sixth edition of the annual tourney will see the participation of cycling teams from Vietnam, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia and Kazakhstan.

Racing will run through March 16 with the first-place finisher receiving US$1,315 (VND30 million) in prize money.

This year’s race will run in nine stages for a total of 828 kilometres winding through the provinces of Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan and Ba Ria-Vung Tau before finishing back where it started in Binh Duong.
