| In the official 90 minutes and nervous extra time in match between Vietnam’s U23s and Qatar on January 23, Vietnam drew 2-2 with the Asian powerhouse thanks to player Quang Hai. The match then ended 6-5 in favour of Vietnam’s U23s after beating Qatar in the penalty shootout. Vietnam had surprised the world by securing a berth in the final of the AFC U23 Championship for the first time. |
