Vietnam’s top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has climbed two steps to secure 7th place in the latest World Badminton Federation (WBF) ratings.
Minh earned his seventh place after gaining an additional 5,950 points and coming in second at the 2011 US Open Badminton Championships.
Below Minh in the world top ten are Peng Yu of China, Park Sung Hwan from the Republic of Korea and Thailand's Boonsak Ponsana.
The top place in the world rankings is held by Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia, followed by Lin Dan of China and Peter Hoeg Gade of Denmark.
