Delegates agreed with the initiatives which included the organisation of the APEC tourism fair on a volunteer basis, the organisation of the APEC tourism and investment forum on the sidelines of the Tourism Ministerial Meeting (TMM); the opening of tours and directs flights linking world cultural heritage sites between member economies; and boosting exchanges between young people and twin cities.

The above initiatives will play an important role in promoting the APEC tourism image in order to attract visitors and boost investment in the region, said APEC officials.
