Fansipan Sa Pa Cable Car launches
VOV.VN -The highly anticipated Fansipan Sa Pa Cable Car is now operating— taking tourists on a spectacular ride to the 3,143-metre-high peak of Fansipan Mountain, Indochina’s highest summit.

Some facts – Measuring 6,282 metres in length, the system has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's longest. |

It also set a record as the world's highest ascent, measuring 1,410 metres. |

Certificates for the records were presented to the developer, Sun Group, during the inaugural ceremony. |

It now takes just 15 minutes to reach the top of Fansipan, thanks to the cable car system. |

Each cable car is capable of carrying 30 to 35 passengers, and the system has a maximum capacity of 2,000 riders per hour. |

Sun Group, headquartered out of Danang, began constructing the US$196.43 million project in November 2013. |

A ticket costs US$26.91 for an adult and US$17.94 for each child (1.1-1.3 metres tall). It's free for children under 1 metre. |
