Vietnam tourism front and centre at Russian travel show

VOV.VN - Vietnam tourism has taken a front row seat at the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT), Russia’ s largest travel show, which has returned for its 24th edition on March 14-16 in Moscow.

Up to 28,000 travel industry professionals and over 1,600 exhibitors from all corners of the globe are expected to attend the event.

The Vietnamese pavilions are prominently introducing a fascinating variety of sightseeing travel packages and zeroing in on the Russian appetite for medical tours among many other traditional destinations.

According to an MITT organizer, 2017 marks a powerful year for Russian tourism with high expectations for inbound travel. The top travellers to Russia come from Phuket, Bangkok, Goa, Istanbul, Milan, Larnaca and Dubai.

The Russian outbound travel market is also expected to pick up. Spain was the most popular destination for Russian travellers from January to September 2016, said the organizer.
