After a 2-2 draw against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) at Thong Nhat stadium, the hosts gained six points from four matches.

So Yong-hyok heeled the ball into the back of the net in the 25^th minute to open the scoring for the visitors. Five minutes later Sy Lam equalized close-range after a smart pass into the penalty box.

In the second half, the hosts went ahead with a header by Dinh Thang leaving DPRK goal keeper Song Hwan stranded.
