Teams from Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and China, Cambodia and Vietnam will be divided into two groups to play in a round robin format.

The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of US$20,000, the runners-up US$15,000 and the third position US$10,000.

The event will provide a good chance for the Vietnamese team to prepare for the Asian U19 Football Championships qualifying round, which will be held in Ho Chi Minh City in late October.
