The Vietnamese women football team is set to defend its champion title at the 2011 Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) Women's Championships in Laos.
Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Nguyen Trong Hy was speaking at a meeting on October 13 with the squad under Chinese head coach Chen Yun Fat before they set foot in Laos one day later.
Goalkeeper Trinh Thi Hue, midfielders Tran Thi Thu, Pham Thi Hang and Phung Thi Nhung will not join the squad this time.
