At the same time, female athletes will also compete in the Third World Championships that will take place in the same venue.   

Fifteen athletes have been chosen to represent Vietnam. Apart from well-known names such as Pham Van Mach and Nguyen Van Lam, the Vietnamese team is putting its trust for medals in Nguyen Hai Au, Se Pha, Nguyen Truong Giang and Ngo Quang Trung.

In addition to young athlete Duong Thi Hong Ngoc, the women are expecting Nguyen Thi My Linh, Ton Hoang Khanh Lan and Dinh Kim Loan to also bring home medals for the national team.
