The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced the results of the draw for the qualifying round of the 2012 AFC Futsal Championships, scheduled for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in May 2012.

Vietnam will play in Group B of the ASEAN Zone qualifiers, which will take place from November 26 to December 1, 2011.

The Vietnamese team will open their campaign against Malaysia on November 26. They will then play Cambodia and Australia on November 27 and 28, respectively.

Eight teams from the ASEAN Zone will be represented, including squads from Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Australia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia. They were divided into two groups - Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Myanmar being drawn together in Group A; and Australia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia making up Group B.

The top three teams from each zone will qualify for the 16-nation tournament, along with four direct entrants – defending champions Iran, runners-up Uzbekistan, third-placed Japan, and hosts UAE.
