Japanese footballers scored the ball into Vietnam’s net six times. The opening goal was headed in the 36^th minute by striker Kyokawa, who later made another goal in the 43^rd minute.

The remaining four scores of Japan were contributed by Yokoyama and Saito at the 47^th, 54^th, 84^th and 88^th minute in the second half.

Suffering such a heavy defeat, Vietnam’s women U19 football team was placed at the bottom of the list in the final round.

In the line-up behind Japan were the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), China, the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Australia.

As a result, Japan, the DPRK and China will represent Asia to compete in the final round of the World Women’s U20 Football Championships in 2012.
