Vietnamese team has defeated Thai rivals to take berth to the final round of the U21 Thanh Nien (Youth) Newspaper Football Tournament, which is being held in the central highland province of Gia Lai from September 25-October 4.
In their semi-final match with Thailand on October 2, striker Ha Minh Tuan opened the scoring in the 50th second.
Thai footballer Ronachai then scored an equalizing goal in the 69th minute of the second half.
The two teams had to enter a penalty shoot-out, which ended 7-6 in favour of Vietnam.
