Explosions at Myanmar’s Yangon regional government office

Two explosions hit Myanmar's Yangon regional government office on November 25 evening, local police said.

The explosions took place at around 7 p.m. (local time) in the office building, which lies in Dagon township, with no casualties reported so far.

Police found two home-made M-150 chemical bombs in the building. The authorities are continuing the investigation.

The senior Yangon government official said one of the bombs exploded near the regional police chief's office.

The explosions were similar in nature to other blasts in Yangon in the last few days - one at a local immigration office on November 24, and two others at two supermarkets on November 20 and on November 17.
